Wine matching should be more than just food; music could also play a part. Imagine with a glass of wine, sitting in the balcony with soothing music at the background – a nice break in the hectic world! I always like to have music at the background when I sit in front of my Netbook to write about my wine experience.
On Italian wines – Vivaldi’s Four Seasons or Puccini’s classics is perfect. Regional music with the wine also holds some truth.
On French wines, well I like Pachelbel’s Canon, it was made popular by Robert Redford’s movie Ordinary People. It always has a calming effect on me.
On New World wines, jazz is a good choice for me. Jazz is care free, sort of similar to New World wine, without the boundary and restriction of the old world wine.
Then if we pair wine to music, Phantom of the Opera is my favorite Broadway show, a love story set in the Paris Opera House. A very intense love story, so should pair with an intense French red – Bordeaux or Rhone Valley.
Wine is a fun and popular topic and here’s another angle of paring wine!
I heard that one of your ring tone is “La vie en rose”…
Is that a good song to pair with rosé ? ^^
The original was sang by Edith Piaf in 1946. It was a French song and the title meant “Life through rose-colored glasses”. If you like rosé, the region of Tavel in France is well known for rosé.
